'Good Morning Rooster' was created in April 1949, it was reissued in 1978 by Querido in a facsimile edition. Constant painted and Kouwenaar wrote on sheets of sandwich paper that were cut into pages and multiplied in an edition of thirty hand-colored copies. For the turn of the year 1978/79 Drukkerij Thieme made a very beautiful facsimile edition of it, which was distributed among friends and relations in an edition of 1000 copies.
