The monographic exhibition organised at MACBA in 1996 borrowed its name from one of Juan Uslé’s works, Ojo roto (Broken Eye), which is a metaphor for the decline of the gaze, besieged by the excess of images, which observes the world in a fragmented manner. Through his work, Uslé contemplates pictorial practice and the natural landscape as a catalyst for emotions.
