‘Labyrinth’ is a collection of paintings by Ton Kraayeveld that explores his relationship to Modernism and central themes of time and space. The Dutch visual artist is influenced by his daily experiences, travels, and well-known historical figures; such as Franz Kafka, who is a constant feature throughout Kraayeveld's works. Selected questions from an interview by Marie Jeanne de Rooi accompany each painting, with more texts from other contributors. The artist graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam in 1985, and now lives and works in Dordrecht.
